Privacy Policy
This policy covers the Site Pulse for Meraki and Site Pulse for NetCloud browser extensions ("Site Pulse"), made by Suretek Automation Works ("Suretek", "we").
What Site Pulse accesses
Site Pulse runs only on the Cisco Meraki dashboard (dashboard.meraki.com) or Ericsson NetCloud (cradlepointecm.com and netcloud.ericsson.com). While you're signed in there, it reads information your account can already see, such as network, device, router and customer account names, device status, WAN and signal details, and events.
It does this through the login already in your browser. It never asks for or sees your password, and it doesn't use API keys.
If you give Site Pulse for NetCloud a photo of a router label, the photo is read inside your browser to find the serial number. It isn't uploaded or kept.
What it stores, and where
Site Pulse saves a small amount of information in your browser's extension storage on your computer:
- your settings,
- the keep-alive on/off state and last run time,
- recently used sites, customers and routers, and
- the sites or routers you choose to watch.
This data stays on your computer. It's removed when you uninstall the extension or clear the extension's data.
What it sends
Site Pulse doesn't send any data to Suretek or to any third party. The only network requests it makes go to Meraki or NetCloud, the same service you're already using, to read the information described above. The extensions contain no analytics, tracking or ads.
What it does on the page
The keep-alive feature acts on the page to keep your session active. It's off until you turn it on, and it turns itself off after 10 hours.
- Meraki: it runs a traceroute to 8.8.8.8 from your firewall's Tools page.
- NetCloud: it closes announcement pop-ups, sends a small mouse movement and Shift key press, and clicks a status value or the page heading.
It never changes a setting or reboots a device. Everything else in Site Pulse is read-only.
Who the keep-alive is for
The keep-alive is for techs and admins who work in the Meraki dashboard or NetCloud for long stretches and keep getting signed out by an idle timeout their organization set. That timeout is your organization's security setting. Only use the keep-alive where your admins allow it, and never leave a signed-in computer unattended or unlocked.
Use at your own risk
Site Pulse is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. You're responsible for using it in line with your organization's security policies and the terms of Cisco Meraki or Ericsson NetCloud. Suretek Automation Works isn't liable for any loss or damage from using Site Pulse.
Selling and sharing
We don't sell your data, share it, or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, lending or any purpose unrelated to Site Pulse's features, because we never receive it.
Children
Site Pulse is a work tool for network and IT staff. It isn't directed at children.
Changes
If a future version changes how data is handled, we'll update this policy and the date above before that version is published.
